COLEGIO A LA ESPERANZA
In the early 1990’s, SIP adopted the Colegio La Esperanza as its international project. The Americas Foundation founded the La Esperanza schools in Tijuana and continues to build and support scholarships, education, and cultural projects on both sides of the US-Mexico border. The La Esperanza schools include the Jardin de Ninos La Esperanza kindergarten, the Colegio La Esperanza Elementary and Arts School, and the Universidad Marucana. All students receive a scholarship ranging from 50 to 100%.
Each year, SIP provides a $600 scholarship for an elementary student and purchases Christmas presents for two classes (approximately 30 kids ages 4 to 6) and their teachers
